Can the future robot evolve itself?

With the development of science and technology and the innovation of technology, people are always interested in robots. People are eager to make robots to work instead of people, but they are also worried about the robot will be smarter than human beings which leads to a very interesting topic: can the robot evolve itself?

 For artificial intelligence, we can start from setting intelligent correlation rather than the intelligent deconstruction. The real artificial intelligence may be produced through the computer program self-evolution.

But this road is also full of risks. The reason is that you don't really know what you create. Everything is automatic and you just control the generating environment and conditions, but know nothing about the internal mechanism.

    

You may be unable to know what it is thinking if people really make this kind of super intelligence through this way. The electronic creatures will even make people believe that it is harmless by fraud or other means. And maybe everything is too late after everything is under its charge. In the modern theory of evolution, the unit of evolution is population because only in population can genetic material can be passed generation after generation. A single individual cannot evolve and the emergence of new properties rely on genetic mutations which is not a very common phenomenon in the nature.

    

Through heredity, mutation, selection, some unique properties can be carried forward and the magical creatures produced. But the simulation of evolution in computer does not need these limits. 

     

In this way, the whole process of "digital evolution" saves much more time than the nature in the simulation environment of computer. Everything has advantages and disadvantages. The intelligent machine help us solve a lot of things in our life and help us to do some work people are unable to finish. Perhaps robots’ autonomous evolution is nonsense. Human beings’ wisdom is infinite and all the development are under the human beings’ control.
